Yarnbombing Part 1

Okay, so the first part of my project has been installed, and I am over the moon. I spent three hours sitting on the damp mulch behind this bench sewing the covers for the slats, and it was totally worth it. People walking by were so excited about it, I had tons of questions and everyone was so incredibly nice. It just makes me so happy.

I will probably have some more updates tomorrow, and then the project will be finished and I get my life back! I’m just hoping that this weather keeps up. Rain and yarn don’t mix that well.

Thanks so much! It’s funny, because usually I’m super impatient but some kind of weird zen person took over me when I started this project. That is, until the final weeks when I looked like a raving lunatic who knit obsessively for hours every day and mumbled to myself about yarn and colors and such.

  7. Oh wow, just, wow! I think all benches should look like this!! It is the best yarn bombing I have ever seen, so simple yet effective! I have to reblog this!! ❤
